The restaurant

Perched above the city with a stunning view of Prague, the restaurant not only showcases the exquisite culinary creations of Executive Chef Lukáš Hlaváček but also offers a captivating terrace, perfect for enjoying lunch, dinner, or a glass of fine wine. During the summer months, guests are afforded exclusive access to the Royal Gardens of Prague Castle directly from the rooftop terrace (temporarily closed by authorities).

The restaurant is located on the 4th floor of The Golden Well Hotel, which will convince you that Prague truly is “the city of a hundred spires”. Italian architects, Lorenzo Carmellini and Katrin Herden participated in the design of the restaurant's interior, which includes an interesting combination of modern design and renaissance elements. The history of the Golden Well Hotel building dates back to 1528. Around 1900, there was already a small pub in the building with a breathtaking views of the Prague rooftops. In 2008, the restaurant underwent extensive renovations of it´s interior and facilities.

Louis XIII. “The King of Cognacs”

Louis XIII - The King of Cognacs. Our bar is home to the Louis XIII, the unique King of Cognacs from the renowned Rémy Martin. Louis XIII is the only Cognac that bears the Ultra-Premium Cognac title. Visit us and taste this unique Cognac, which we will gladly serve to you at the bar or in the restaurant.

There are only 40 restaurants worldwide, which have the right of being so-called Louis XIII Cognac Fortresses. Every one of these restaurants must have specially trained staff who know how to handle this precious liquid. You can find one of these Fortresses at the Golden Well Hotel Prague.

Moët & Chandon „Privileges“ Club

In April 2013, Terasa U Zlaté studně became home of the unique Moët & Chandon “Privileges” Club. This is an exclusive programme designed for only one hundred carefully selected restaurants worldwide. By being ranked among this gastronomic elite, the Terasa U Zlaté studně gains access to a rare selection of vintage champagne, creating a truly unforgettable gourmet experience when paired with the appropriate meal.

We offer attractive vintage Moët & Chandon Champagnes. The main speciality is the 1978 vintage Champagne in the Magnum bottle and the 2000 vintage Champagne in a Methuselah bottle. Both are only available in one specimen. You will find the complete offer in our wine list.
